Transfer data between 2 apps on a schedule

REST API vs GraphQL - DEV Community

Last year, Zapier developed Transfer by Zapier, a standalone application that lets you bulk-transfer data from one source app to any of its 5,000+ supported apps.

In one go, Transfer may migrate leads, sales data, form submissions, and more from months or years past. This eliminates tiresome data entry and provides a more full picture of your business’s data.

We’re thrilled to offer Transfer’s Schedule functionality for massive data transfers.

If you have to transfer massive amounts of data regularly on a daily basis, you may make use of Transfer to schedule data transfers on a daily, hourly or weekly basis.

This new feature in Transfer by Zapier allows you to move data in a way that is convenient for you. For instance, you can transfer leads into your CRM each week, or transfer invoices from clients to a spreadsheet at close of each month.

Do you want to learn the details regarding Transfer by Zapier? Take a look at the Guide to Transfer by Zapier to get a complete description of how it works.

Prior to this, you had to schedule an entirely new transfer each time you had to move data on a regular basis, adding an unnecessary amount of time in your processes. With this new feature it is possible for everyone in your group will be able to put aside manual transfers and instead focus on the tasks that matter the most.

How does it work

  • Once you’ve signed in to the account you have created with your Zapier account, you’ll be in a position to navigate to Transfer using the menu on the left or go to transfer.zapier.com.
  • Select to transfer data on an established schedule by clicking The Schedule.
  • Select the source app and the source information, then choose the destination app and the destination action.
  • Connect to both your source and destination applications.
  • Determine how your records will appear in your destination application.
  • You can decide how often you’d like the transfer to take place in the following order: daily, hourly, weekly or monthly.
  • Modify your recurring transfer choosing a date and time.
  • Use your filters to filter the kinds of documents that will be transferred.
  • Confirm your schedule.

All done! After you’ve confirmed your schedule, Zapier will inform you when the next transfer will be scheduled as well as the schedule you created.

When you click the link to go directly to my Transfers You can find out the transfers that are scheduled on a fixed schedule and which ones are one-time run.

Also, you can view the current schedules as well as any filters you’ve put on the transfer. You can edit them easily should you wish to change any aspect.
